The Nokomis neighborhood’s Town Hall Tap is in the process of purchasing Skylane Bowling at 5019 34th Ave. S to build an additional site.

“Our goal is to have bowling, a full-service restaurant and full-service bar,” said Pete Rifakes, co-owner of Town Hall Tap.

The owners haven’t yet closed on the sale. The venue would serve Town Hall beer and would offer an atmosphere similar to the existing Town Hall Tap at 48th & Chicago.

“It will be a really relaxing space, despite being a bowling alley,” Rifakes said. “It will be something you have come to expect from Town Hall.”

Rifakes said he has been searching for a new location.

“We love the neighborhood over there,” he said. “And I love to bowl as well.”

The Nokomis-neighborhood Town Hall Tap was the first spin-off of the original Town Hall Brewery, 1430 Washington Ave. S.
