CARAG — Fast-fashion clothing retailer H&M today confirmed its plans to open a 23,000-square-foot store in Calhoun Square this fall.
It had been reported for months that H&M was close to a deal with the Uptown shopping mall. The retailer has 245 U.S. locations, including four in Minnesota all located in the metropolitan area.
“H&M believes strongly in the Minnesota market and is excited to offer even more local customers access to the brand’s fashion-forward, quality collections,” a statement from the company read. “The approximately 23,000 square foot store at Calhoun Square will include collections for ladies, men, young ladies and young men, with separate ‘store within store’ sections for accessories, lingerie, maternity, and sports apparel.”
Founded in Sweden in 1947, H&M opened its first U.S. store in New York City in 2000. It has 2,500 stores across the globe.
