I’ve had the privilege to work with Matt in various capacities over the last decade. He is a dedicated, thoughtful, and visionary citizen. His long history of volunteerism and public service have prepared him very well for a seat on the Minneapolis city council. He would be an outstanding council person. If Betsy chooses not to run again, Matt is an ideal successor.

If they get the fiscal house in order their constituents will notice. Prove they can walk and chew gum at the same time (i.e. also pass marriage equality) and we’ll have their back. With state-wide enthusiasm for the Governor and Senator Franken, fueled by a grateful young voting base, they can win. The anti-marriage liars and fear-mongers are literally a dying breed. Remember the 2012 mandate: marriage equality is the #mnleg ‘s job.
